 The LakeLander is one of Ottawa's best kept secrets. Situated at the edge of The Glebe in the Dow's Lake area, this boutique condominium building has much to offer the discriminating buyer.Seven stories in height, with the seventh level housing the larger penthouse suites, The LakeLander was built by Clarksmith in 1990. There are many different floorplans available. Some offer one bedroom plus a den, others have two bedrooms and some have three bedrooms. Security is enforced through a card-entry system that is extremely effective. The exterior lobby is monitored from each suite via closed circuit television in order to see who is being admitted. There are also security cameras in the interior lobby as well as in the garage. In addition, there is a guest suite / party room that can be reserved and used for a nominal rental. The volunteer garden committee is a wonderful outlet for the gardening enthusiasts who live in the LakeLander ... this active group keeps the grounds of the building looking spectacular throughout the growing season. A parking space in the underground garage is owned by each individual apartment and a generous locker is assigned to each suite. The garage is equipped with a car wash bay for do-it-yourself car owners. The neighbourhood is fast becoming one of the most desirable in the area.
